Pool House in the Pyrenees

Hidden in pasturelands of south-western France, this project by architect Maxime d’Angeac represents a successful combination of classical appeal in a contemporary setting. The Pool House unfurls its façade and iconic columns, the two floors and portico topped with entablature, all produced in cut stone by Hérès.

On the other side of an imposing swimming pool surrounded by stone decking is a small, classically designed temple open on all four sides, rounding off the perspective. A garden folly where the owners can spend their days enjoying the fresh summer air.
